Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By using this website or engaging Prestige Web Designfor work, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site or commission work from us.
2. What we do
We design and build custom, professional websites for small businesses — fast, mobile-friendly builds designed to turn visitors into customers. We're based in Slough and work with clients remotely across the UK and worldwide. Sites are built on a modern stack (Next.js, TypeScript), not a drag-and-drop builder.
Anything shown on this website — packages, turnaround times, example work — is an indication of what we offer, not a binding offer in itself. The specific scope of your project is whatever we agree in writing before work starts.
3. Pricing and payment
Current package pricing is listed on our pricing page. Every package is a one-off build price plus an £80/month hosting and maintenance fee starting from your second month — the first month after launch is covered. Both figures are shown upfront and there are no hidden costs.
The £80/month fee covers:
- hosting;
- SSL/security — your site is served over HTTPS automatically;
- uptime monitoring, so we know immediately if your site goes down;
- minor text and image changes;
- fixing small issues that come up;
- basic technical support;
- keeping the underlying software up to date — dependency and framework updates are tracked and applied.
Backups are not included by default but can be added for sites that need them — just ask. Work beyond the agreed scope is always discussed and agreed before it starts. Domain registration is handled by you (we'll guide you through it) and is billed by your registrar, not by us.
Prices quoted in a written proposal are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
4. Your responsibilities
Timelines quoted (for example, around 5 days for a Starter site) assume you supply the content, images and feedback we need in good time. You confirm that any text, images or logos you give us are yours to use, or that you have permission to use them. Nothing goes live without your sign-off.
5. Ownership
Once the one-off build fee has been paid in full, the finished website and its content are yours. We keep ownership of any underlying tooling, templates and reusable components used to build it, and we may reference the completed project in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
6. Cancellation
Either side can end an ongoing hosting and maintenance arrangement with 30 days' written notice. If a build is cancelled part-way through, you pay for the work completed up to that point. If hosting with us ends, we'll give you a reasonable window to move the site elsewhere.
7. Liability
We take care to deliver reliable, well-built websites, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted availability, specific search engine rankings, or particular business results. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with any project is limited to the fees you paid us for that project in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or lost data.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
